Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The quality and resolution of an MRI image is determined not just by the specifications of the scanner hardware (e.g., Field Strength, Rise Time, Slough Rate, number of coils, etc.), but also by a set of other seemingly obscure, but crucial, parameters that are manually selected by the technologist (e.g., slice thickness, pixel matrix, number of data acquisitions, etc.).
Image quality can vary widely between different scanners and different operators depending on the hardware installed and which parameters are “dialed in” by the MR techologist.
There is an overall correlation between higher resolution and longer scan times.
At Neurological Associates of Washington, we maintain a limited volume MRI facility and never compromise image resolution or scanning time to increase patient throughput.
Our charge per scan are also among the lowest (if not the lowest) in the region.
Our scanning facility is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology and our scans are read by Board Certified radiologists. Same day appointments are always available.
Our MRI scanner offers a wide array of MRI diagnostic services:
- MRI of the Brain
- MRI Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar regions
- MR Angiography of the Brain and Neck
- MR Venography of the Brain
- MRI of Brachial Plexus
- MRI of the Hip, Knee, Wrist, and Ankle
- MRI of the Pelvis
MRI studies are frequently an integral step in the evaluation of neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Our 1.5 Tesla GE MRI scanner is located in our Kirkland Office.
Cash Payments: We accept cash payment for MRIs at a substantially discounted rate. Please call our office for further information and scheduling.
