Testing protocols are based on the Mayo Clinic Autonomic Lab. Our lab is the only on the East side and in Washington State to offer both autonomic testing and clinical consultation. The goal of autonomic testing is to provide an accurate diagnosis and establish severity of dysautonomia.

Patients with dysautonomia present with orthostatic intolerance, recurrent syncope, orthostatic hypotension, vasomotor symptomatology (“coldness”), abnormal sweating, heat intolerance, gastroparesis, diarrhea/constipation, early satiety, exercise intolerance.

Autonomic testing is non-invasive and includes heart rate response to deep breathing, heart rate response to Valsalva, non-pharmacological head-up tilt table test and sudomotor response using quantitative sudomotor reflex testing (QSART).

To schedule an appointment please call our Kirkland office at 425-899-6200 or fax a referral to 425-899-6220. Certain medications may need to be held prior to testing. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
